Gibraltar policeman has been slightly injured in an attack of Spanish smugglers moving tobacco. 15 people crossed from Spain to Gibraltar through a hole in the border fence at 1415 on Thursday afternoon, and the Gibraltar Government says they were throwing stones at the police. A Gibraltar Police car was also seriously damaged. They passed back three bags of counterfeit tobacco over the frontier while the police found 81 cartons left behind. It’s the most serious contraband incident on the Rock in recent years.
